I’m a Freelance Web Designer & Developer from Hertfordshire, in the UK. I’m an enthusiastic, creative designer and geek with 10 years of strong commercial experience and a passion for creating beautiful, accessible websites using Web Standards.
About me
I live in Hatfield in the UK with my wife Claire and our pet cat, Betty. When I'm not building websites I enjoy learning new things, working on my car and spending time with friends.
I started creating web sites in 1998 when I really should have been studying for my A-levels in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and it has continued to be my hobbie and my career. I have been designing and developing web sites commercially for 10 years and have worked for some great companies and gained some great skills and experiences. I really love what I do and am very passionate about my work! I created this site as a showcase for the things I have worked on and as a playground for the projects I am currently involved in.

This site used to be powered by WordPress but I decided to move it as I wasn't blogging as much as I used to and really needed the flexibility of a CMS. It is now powered by the wonderful MODx CMS which is a really powerful and flexible CMS if you don't mind getting your hands dirty with the PHP.
Hosting
I used to use shared hosts years ago but quickly got annoyed with the lack of flexibility. I now use UK2 Group's vps.net which provides amazing redundancy and scalability. I recommend you check them out if you are looking for your own virtual server.
